Gold Loan / Girvi

Lending against pledged ornaments. The customer leaves gold, the shop values it at the board's buying rate and lends a principal against it; interest accrues and is paid periodically; the pledge is released when principal and interest are settled, renewed, or - after notice - auctioned. It is the shared loan engine with a pledge record attached.

Switch: Settings > Jewellery > Gold Loan / Girvi. Permission: Gold Loan / Girvi.

Where it appears

Flow

    A[New pledge] --> B[Customer: ledger or name + phone · KYC document]
    B --> C[Items pledged: description · gross · net weight]
    C --> D[Valuation per gram from board buyback rate]
    D --> E[Principal · interest rate · tenure · locker location · nominee]
    E --> L[(The loan, its terms and the pledge)]
    L --> P[Payment Out: cash handed over · pledge slip printed]
    L --> I[Interest due]
    I --> IP[Collect interest: passbook entry]
    IP --> T[(Collection recorded)]
    L --> R{Settle?}
    R -->|release| REL[Principal + interest · release date · ornaments returned]
    R -->|renew| RN[New pledge replaces old]
    R -->|default| AU[Auction notice · auction date · value]
    REL & RN & AU --> L2[(Pledge closed out)]
Valuation reads the rate board, so the first pledge of the day prices at today's buyback rate.

Setting it up

    A[Settings > Jewellery
Gold Loan on] --> B[Set today’s buying rate on the board] B --> C[First pledge: items · weights · valuation] C --> D[Principal handed over · pledge slip printed] D --> E[Interest collected periodically] E --> F[Release, renew or auction]
Switch it on, put the master behind it in place, then do the first one — in that order, or the first one will not have anything to pick.
