Counter & Parcel Service
The outlet cockpit, for a place that serves food without seating anyone at a table: a cloud kitchen, a tea shop, a bakery or a sweet counter. It brings menu items, sales modes - dine-in, parcel, delivery - the KOT and the outlet dashboard, with the bill raised at the till or on a sales invoice.
Switch: Settings > Restaurant > Counter & Parcel Service.
This is the switch that decides which app you get
This one and Table Service are the two that decide whether the business lands in the outlet shell at all. Every other restaurant switch only qualifies screens inside it. Turn both off and the shop stays on the standard POS, selling food as ordinary products.
So turn this on if the order is taken at a counter or over the phone and handed over. Turn on Table Service instead, or as well, if covers are seated and billed when the table settles.
Sales modes
Every order carries how it is being served, because the same dish is a different transaction in each case - a parcel is packed, a delivery leaves the shop, a dine-in plate does not. The mode is on the order rather than in the item, so the menu is written once.
| Mode | Is for |
|---|---|
| Dine-in | Eaten on the premises, with no table taken against it. |
| Parcel | Packed and carried out. |
| Delivery | Sent out, with the address on the order. |
